The Movies of Firewood Media

Feature Length Films

Firewood Media is an indie film production company from Wisconsin that has released two feature-length films with one currently in the works: "Another Day Closer To The Sun," "Pesticide," and their upcoming release, "Wayward Sons."

Brothers Robert (Joseph Loeffler-Bell) and Todd (Nick Richards) hike through the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, but they stray so far from the trail that they have no idea how to get back. Initially, they maintain morale by rehashing old stories and reciting inside jokes, but the gravity of their situation sinks in as a return to civilization becomes more unlikely. As the sheer scope, hypnotic pull and spirit-crushing mirages of the forest affect the men, their will to live and sense of identity is challenged and transformed.

Pesticide (2021)

Pesticide is a full-length feature film, written and directed by Cole McCormack, starring Jamie Schenk, Joseph Loeffler-Bell, Paul Domenosky, and Kate Henning. The western crime thriller follows the lives of an avant-garde musician, a serial killer, a kingpin and his right hand man as they intertwine in a twisted tale of violence, psychedelia, and betrayal.

Another Day Closer To The Sun is an independent no-budget science fiction feature film, written and directed by Cole McCormack, that follows Scott, a man dealing with the existential terror of living in a dying world. Due to strange and unknown circumstances, the sun gradually begins moving closer and closer to the earth.
